A veteran teacher, Dr. Linda
Zelewski has taught at both the high school and college levels,
as biology and chemistry teacher at Verona Area High School,
and lecturer for several UW chemistry courses in both analytical
and general chemistry. As part of the WISL, Linda trained UW
students to do Science is Fun presentations and has written
a manual for student presenters. She also developed a booklet
and materials to guide others in establishing their own stable
of demonstrators. She has earned a PhD from UW-Madison in water
chemistry — now called environmental chemistry and technology
— and holds three Wisconsin teaching licenses for grades 6-12
in chemistry, biology and environment science. She served as
senior outreach specialist for the WISL, and is currently a senior lecturer in the Chemistry Department.
Linda enjoys bicycling in her spare time.
