After completing her thesis, Lily began a postdoctoral fellowship with ORISE and the USDA, looking at genomic prediction in blueberry plants. Her work focused on predicting traits related to flowering and fruit quality using a diverse collection of blueberries. She also began working with the Breeding Insights Initiative, creating tools for underserved crops and breeding programs.
